IQoo 3 Design

The first look of iQoo 3 is very impressive. It gives a premium feel. iQoo 3 is quite heavy at 214.5g. It has a 6.44-inch AMOLED display that dominates the front of this device. This phone comes with a tiny punch-hole camera for selfie lovers. You get thin borders all around the display of this device.

The earpiece is on the frame of the iQoo 3 and is very hard to find on the device. The company goes for a metal frame that helps this phone to look and feel like a premium device. The power and volume buttons are on the right side of the device and are very well positioned by iQoo. The colour of the power button is orange and the button has a knurled texture so that you can find it easily by its feel.

iQoo has also added capacitive shoulder buttons on the right side of the device. The left side of the phone has a smart button that you can use to play the Google Assistant. You will get a 3.5mm audio jack on the top of the device, USB Type-C port and loudspeaker are at the bottom of the phone.

iQoo 3 comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for the protection. You will get three colour options: Tornado Black, Quantum Silver, and Volcano Orange. Volcano Orange finish colour is very impressive as it isn’t very common.

iQoo 3 comes with a quad-camera setup at the back, just like other smartphones. The camera module looks somewhat similar to recent phones. The iQoo 3 is loaded by the 4,440mAh battery and you also get a 55W “Super FlashCharge” in the retail box. With the help of this, you can charge your phone quickly.

The iQoo 3 is loaded with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. This is the most powerful chip right now, with one core clocked at 2.8GHz, three cores clocked at 2.4GHz, and the other four clocked at 1.8GHz.

iQoo has launched three variants of it’s latest iQoo 3 in the market. The base variant offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage at Rs. 36,990, while the other variant has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage at Rs. 39,990. The top-end variant of the iQoo 3 comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage as well as 5G and you have to pay Rs. 44,990. iQoo offers the latest UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM on all variants.

As we all know, 5G networks aren’t available in India yet but if you want a device that is 5G in the future, then the top-end variant of iQoo 3 is the one to get.

The 6.44-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display comes with a 409ppi and support HDR10+. iQoo has used Schott Xensation UP glass for the protection.

Talking about the connectivity on the iQoo 3 includes 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and GLONASS along with a 4,440mAh battery and with a 55W Super FlashCharge charger in the box. This charger has a unique 90-degree pill-shaped connector which the company claims that it is very useful you are playing games and want to charge your phone.

Talking about the software, the iQoo 3 comes with iQoo UI 1.0 on the latest Android 10. The UI looks somewhat similar to Vivo’s new FuntouchOS with a different theme. The UI of this device was simple and easy to use.

You won’t get any kind of app drawer on this phone and all the icons are available on the home screen. You can simply swipe down on a setting screen to bring options within reach. This is great for one-handed situations. You will get a lot of customization options on the iQoo 3. We can choose from various animations for the lock screen and for fingerprint and face recognition. You will get an Always-On display on this smartphone.

You will get the option to switch from the old three-button navigation layout to swipe gestures. This phone has also added Vivo’s smart assistant Jovi on the device.

Usual Android features such as Digital Wellbeing and Parental controls are also present on this device. This phone has a specific Monster Mode which boosts the CPU performance and disables all power-saving measures. This mode also changes the theme of the device as a visual indicator. You will get an Ultra Game Mode to boost up your gaming experience.

iQoo has its own app store called V-Appstore. I would recommend you to uninstall these apps if you don’t use them.

This phone doesn’t have a refresh rate higher than 60Hz but the colour reproduction is very good. This phone has good viewing angles and is easily readable under direct sunlight. You can choose between three colours. The iQoo 3 has a tiny hole-punch under the display, but you won’t distract while viewing content. Loudspeakers are not so good. There is no stereo output in this device and the speaker sound is quite low.

This phone has an in-display fingerprint. You also get a face to unlock your smartphone. Both of them work very fast. We didn’t notice any kind of issue while using this phone. Multitasking was a breeze.

We played PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9: Legends to test the gaming performance of the iQoo 3. Both games ran at high settings and we did not notice any kind of lag or stutter. You can also add gaming triggers while playing PUBG Mobile. It is very useful and they will help you to improve your gaming experience.

It is good to know that iQoo 3 delivers good battery life. In the HD video loop test, this phone managed to go on for 19 hours and 13 minutes. With normal use, this phone will last about a day and a half without any issues. This phone took about 50 minutes to charge completely. A short five-minute charge was capable of getting the smartphone to 16 per cent which is very impressive.

iQoo 3 is the first smartphone launched by the new iQoo brand in India, and it comes with powerful hardware and software.iQoo 3 is among the very few smartphones that are powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC and support UFS 3.1 storage. You also get 5G connectivity only if you are ready to pay Rs. 44,990 for the top variant. Since India has not received 5G at the moment, you can opt for the lower variants without worrying much. However, if you want a 5G device you can go for Realme X50 Pro 5G.

The software on iQoo 3 is good. The cameras, sometimes, fell short on multiple occasions. Apart from its camera performance, this phone does not give any reason to reject it.

I hope my iQoo 3 Specs and review is helpful for you.

I will be glad to know if you have any questions regarding this phone or about anything in the comment box below.
