DESIGN AND DISPLAY

The Realme 7 Pro comes with the same mirror-split design on its back as we have seen in the Realme 7, but it’s a lot slimmer and lighter, even compared to the Realme 6 Pro. This feature makes it more comfortable to hold and use. The frame and back panel are made of plastic, even it is plastic the quality is very good and the phone feels sturdy. The matte finish means it doesn’t pick up fingerprints easily. Realme offers two colors Mirror Blue and Mirror White.

The buttons are well placed around the phone. At the bottom of the device, you get the standard headphone jack, USB Type-C port, and speaker. The big feature to note on the Realme 7 Pro is the display. It’s smaller as compared to the 6 Pro at 6.4 inches, but it’s a Super AMOLED panel with a Full-HD+ resolution. Realme also mentions the use of Corning Gorilla Glass but doesn’t specify the version. The display is bright, colors are rich, all thanks goes to the type of panel, You can get an always-on display mode, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The latter worked well, and face recognition was quick.

Sadly the phone lacks a high refresh rate. The Realme 7 Pro comes with a 60Hz display, which is a little disappointing. I don’t think it’s a deal-breaker, but if you compare it with its predecessor which had a 90Hz display and so does its lower-priced sibling, the Realme 7, it feels a little incomplete. You won’t get any HDR10 certification, which is a big bummer.

REALME 7 PRO REVIEW

PERFORMANCE

The Realme 7 Pro performed well thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC as the 6 Pro. It’s still a good chip; it’s power-efficient and doesn’t heat up even when stressed. Realme offers two variants. The starting variant of the phone has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and is priced at Rs. 19,999, while the top-end variant has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which is priced at. 21,999. The RAM and storage of Realme 7 Pro are LPDDR4X and UFS 2.1. Realme claims that it is the first smartphone that passed TUV Rheinland’s Smartphone Reliability Verification tests.

Realme UI ran pretty smoothly. The phone never disappointed me, whether I was launching an app, switching between multiple apps, or playing a heavy game. The high refresh rate is missing here.
The Super AMOLED display is great for watching videos, and this experience was improved by the stereo speakers. The stereo effect is good, as the earpiece gets almost as loud as the bottom-firing speaker, and Dolby Atmos helps boost the volume and audio. Games ran pretty well on the device without any lag.

Realme 7 Pro Battery Life

Realme offers a 4,500mAh battery in its latest Realme 7 Pro, which on average easily lasted for more than one day. It shows promising results in the HD video loop test with the phone lasting a little over 22 hours. Charging is very fast. It takes barely any time to fully charge it too, thanks to the 65W fast supercharging adapter. The phone goes up to 87 percent in half an hour and took only 10 minutes or so to reach 100 percent. Really it is very quick.

REALME 7 PRO REVIEW

FINAL WORDS OF REALME 7 PRO REVIEW

After all the tests I think Realme has done a fairly good job in making the 7 Pro. It comes with some meaningful upgrades to the Realme 6 Pro in the form of an AMOLED screen, stereo speakers, and 65 watts faster charging. The primary rear camera has improved, thanks to the new sensor, but overall, I think all the cameras could still do better in low light. Don’t know ditching the ultra-wide-angle selfie camera was the best move, as unlike a depth camera,

Looking at the competitors in this segment, the Realme 7 Pro is not a clear-cut winner. It’s hard to ignore the good value offered by the Motorola One Fusion+, which has a pop-up selfie camera, a slightly faster SoC, and an HDR10-certified display. Poco is also gearing up to launch the Poco X3, and Samsung will soon launch the Galaxy M51₹ 22,499, both of which should fall in the Realme 7 Pro’s price category and make things a lot more interesting.

Realme 5 Design

Realme launched its latest Realme 5 smartphone. It has updated its design a bit with its latest device. The device is made up of a polycarbonate body with a laminated plastic back, and it also has a large display. Realme 5 has a design of the diamond pattern on the backside that has been updated to a more crystalline pattern, which looks very neat and helps the phone stand out in the competition of other phones. The Crystal Blue finish is very striking, but if you’re looking for subtlety, the Crystal Purple would be your choice. Also, minor scratches from day to day use are less visible on the purple colour than blue colour.

The size of this phone is large and even also with your large hands, you will struggle to tap on the upper side of the display. Thankfully, Realme offers a one-handed mode to tackle this issue. The weight of this phone is nearly 200g which is quite heavy. Button placements are very good. The volume and power buttons are placed good and at the bottom of the phone, you will get the single speaker, headphone socket, and a Micro-USB charging port.

DISPLAY

Realme 5 has a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1600, with a small dewdrop notch and fairly slim bezels all around the screen. The notch is smaller on the Realme 5, although sometimes it’s not easily noticeable at first sight. Realme has used Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection of this phone. You will get a pre-applied screen guard, which is quite annoying for us but everyone has its own choice. Brightness is more good, and the colours had good saturation. The sharpness of text and icons isn’t the best but this is only noticeable if you use this phone along with a phone that has a full-HD screen.

Realme 5 is the first set of Realme phones to come in four cameras at the back. You will get a fingerprint sensor in the middle of the rear, which works well. Face unlock option is also available. Just like previous Realme phones, face recognition is very quick. In low light conditions, the screen compensates for the lack of light so you won’t get any kind of problem in unlocking your phone even in the dark.

realme 5 specification

According to Realme, this phone features multi-layer humidity protection for the SIM slots, gaps, battery cover, etc, and also claims it should be able to survive light splashes of water.

BOX CONTENTS

Talking about the box content, the Realme 5 comes with a silicone case, a 10W adapter, a Micro-USB cable, an extra screen guard, a SIM eject tool, and the usual quick start and warranty booklets.

SPECIFICATIONS AND SOFTWARE

Realme 5 is the first phone in India with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. As the name suggests, this processor is between the Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 675. This SoC is built on an 11nm fabrication process, hence making it more power-efficient than the Snapdragon 660 and it uses the same Kryo 260 cores. The integrated GPU has been upgraded to Adreno 610 which helps in improving your gaming experience.

realme 5 specification

Realme launched this phone in three variants — 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage at Rs. 9,999; 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage at Rs. 10,999; 4GB RAM with 128GB of storage at Rs. 11,999.

Talking about the Realme 5 Specification include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, a tray for two Nano-SIMs plus a microSD card of up to 256GB, it also supports four satellite navigation systems, USB-OTG, FM radio, and other normal sensors.

The Realme 5 comes with the latest ColorOS 6.0.1. Realme has added something new to the interface, as compared to Realme X. Realme own apps, such as ORoaming, Calculator, etc.

realme 5 specification

ColorOSof Realme 5 has gotten rid of the oversized bubbles around notification toggles. This gives it a flatter and cleaner look. The battery section in the Settings app is also easier to read. You won’t get any kind of battery graph.

We didn’t get any kind of issues with spammy notifications from apps. Realme has some preinstalled apps, including DailyHunt, Helo, etc, but you can uninstall them whenever you want.

realme 5 specification

PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY LIFE

Realme 5 in day to day usage proves to be very impressive. It is quite-heavy and one-handed use is a challenge. The case given by the Realme in the box gives protection to your phone. The display is very good and its size is good for watching movies.

While playing heavy games we didn’t notice any kind of heating. The device gets slightly warm, but not hot, even after a 30-minute match in PUBG.

realme 5 specification

Audio speakers are little tinny, but the placement is very good as it doesn’t get easily blocked when holding the phone horizontally. Realme has its partnership with Dirac, which gives its ‘Real Sound Technology’. Unlike Dolby Atmos Mobile, this only works only when you are using headphones.

Realme 5’s battery easily lasts beyond a day with regular usage. Realme 5 comes with a 5,000mAh battery, which lasted for 22 hours and 31 minutes in the HD video loop battery test, which is very excellent. With light to medium use, the battery manages nearly two days.

Charging the battery takes a while. From zero, it takes more than 3 hours to completely charge this phone using the bundled adapter. You won’t get any support from fast charging which is quite disappointing. If you have a habit of plugging your phone in charge each night regardless of its battery level, this shouldn’t be an issue.

realme 5 specification

FINAL WORDS ABOUT REALME 5 SPECIFICATION

Realme has made a significant upgrade over Realme 3 in Realme 5, and the fact that its pricing starts just below Rs. 10,000 is remarkable. Compared to the Realme’s previous model, Realme 5 comes with a better processor, nearly two-day long battery life, and improved cameras. Realme has also added a wide-angle and macro lens so as to give the new way to your photography.

You have to keep in mind that the weight and size of this phone are heavy and big. The bigger battery has made it a little heavy, and the tall display might not suit everyone, especially if you are a regular user of one-handed mode. Low light photography and videography are not so good.

realme 5 specification

You get a dedicated slot for storage expansion, the base variant of the Realme 5 offers better value as compared to the 128GB version, which is a little expensive considering that the phones in this range-Rs. 15,000 which offers higher resolution displays, fast charging and equal or somewhat better processors such as the Redmi Note 7S and the Realme 3 Pro. If you don’t mind the HD display, and you are a mobile photographer then the Realme 5 is a good choice considering its big battery and versatile wide and macro cameras.

I hope my Realme 5 Specification and Review is helpful for you.

I will be glad to know if you have any questions regarding Realme 5 specification or about anything in the comment box below.

Pros And Cons Of Realme X2 Pro

As you know every coin has two sides. The same applies to the Realme X2 Pro. Let’s discuss some of them:

Pros of Realme X2 Pro

DISPLAY

The Realme X2 Pro has an AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It’s a big 6.5-inch display panel with Full HD+ resolution and the star highlight is the 90Hz refresh rate.

Apart from being a veritable gaming advantage, the 90Hz refresh rate screen makes scrolling and screen transitions a lot smoother. The change might not be immediately noticeable to consumers who try it for the first time, but we have noticed that such high-refresh-rate screens are incredibly easy getting used to.

The AMOLED panel on the Realme X2 Pro is reasonably sharp and has decent sunlight visibility. The colors are a bit too oversaturated for our taste in the Vivid mode that targets DCI-P3 gamut, and they feel a little too bland in the Natural mode.

Realme is using a hardware Bluelight filter, but the white tones are still lean on the cooler side by default. Either way, the color temperature is customizable and you can toggle to warmer tones in both color profiles.
The software has an option for DC Dimming that further makes the screen lighter on eyes for people sensitive to flicker. The handset also has a dark mode and an always-on mode to leverage gorgeous AMOLED blacks.

realme x2 pro

PERFORMANCE AND SOFTWARE

Performance is what makes the Realme X2 PRO truly shine. This doesn’t come as a surprise because Realme adheres to the highest hardware standards. The Realme X2 Pro gets the mighty Snapdragon 855 Plus, paired with up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage, and up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM.

PUBG ran fine at Ultra-HDR and Extreme-HDR. All other high-end games we tried worked flawlessly. With 40 minutes of gaming, the temperature soared by a nominal 5-degrees and battery drained by about 8 percent.

Realme also adds a 4x 4 MIMO antenna that will supposedly ensure proper data or Wi-Fi signal irrespective of how you are holding the phone while gaming. Needless to say, this is an excellent device for gaming.

The software on the phone is Color OS 6 which is soon to be replaced by a customized Color OS 7 that is expected to be the grand overhaul everyone has been asking for.

In its current avatar, the Android 9 based Color OS 6 isn’t as terrible as it’s made out to be. But yes, it does play spoilsport to the Realme experience. The skin is bloatware heavy and it’s not often simple to find things one is looking for.

The good thing is that the software is stable, has all the needed customization options, and a decent launcher can resolve quite a few design issues. The software also integrates the DRM L1 certificate and the X2 Pro supports HD streaming on Prime and Netflix.

Unlocking the Realme X2 Pro is very convenient. The in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock are both blazing fast. We didn’t face any issue with call quality or connectivity either.

BATTERY

The battery experience of Realme X2 Pro is simply fabulous. We’d go as far as saying that this is the best battery experience we have on a phone. The 4000mAh battery can fully charge in just 30 minutes and can then comfortably last for more than a day. If you charge while gaming, the phone charges at 20W. During the course of our review, we didn’t experience any unnatural or erratic battery drain.

realme x2 pro

CONCLUSION

realme x2 pro

What we could gather from all of this is that the Realme X2 Pro’s only aspect that needs improving is the camera. For around the same price of €400-500, depending on the memory configuration, you can get a better camera experience. However, when you add the rest of the features into the mixTURE, you can hardly find anything better than the Realme. It checks all the right boxes in one fell swoop.

The Realme X2 Pro is unrivaled in the affordable flagship category with top-notch performance, big 90Hz OLED screen, nice-sounding stereo speakers, premium build, fast 50W charging, long battery life, and the much-beloved 3.5mm audio jack. Perhaps the lack of microSD card support might put off some potential buyers, but the 128GB storage variant isn’t much costlier than the 64GB model. you also get speedier UFS 3.0 flash storage too.

At this price, it’s an offer that’s hard to pass on. The Realme X2 Pro is a no-brainer and will give the other big companies in the European market a run for their money. Let’s hope Realme has enough of those babies produced to meet the holiday season’s demand.

I hope my Realme X2 Pro review is helpful for you.
