IQoo 3 Design

The first look of iQoo 3 is very impressive. It gives a premium feel. iQoo 3 is quite heavy at 214.5g. It has a 6.44-inch AMOLED display that dominates the front of this device. This phone comes with a tiny punch-hole camera for selfie lovers. You get thin borders all around the display of this device.

The earpiece is on the frame of the iQoo 3 and is very hard to find on the device. The company goes for a metal frame that helps this phone to look and feel like a premium device. The power and volume buttons are on the right side of the device and are very well positioned by iQoo. The colour of the power button is orange and the button has a knurled texture so that you can find it easily by its feel.

iqoo 3

iQoo has also added capacitive shoulder buttons on the right side of the device. The left side of the phone has a smart button that you can use to play the Google Assistant. You will get a 3.5mm audio jack on the top of the device, USB Type-C port and loudspeaker are at the bottom of the phone.

iQoo 3 comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for the protection. You will get three colour options: Tornado Black, Quantum Silver, and Volcano Orange. Volcano Orange finish colour is very impressive as it isn’t very common.

iQoo 3 comes with a quad-camera setup at the back, just like other smartphones. The camera module looks somewhat similar to recent phones. The iQoo 3 is loaded by the 4,440mAh battery and you also get a 55W “Super FlashCharge” in the retail box. With the help of this, you can charge your phone quickly.

SPECIFICATIONS AND SOFTWARE

The iQoo 3 is loaded with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. This is the most powerful chip right now, with one core clocked at 2.8GHz, three cores clocked at 2.4GHz, and the other four clocked at 1.8GHz.

iQoo has launched three variants of it’s latest iQoo 3 in the market. The base variant offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage at Rs. 36,990, while the other variant has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage at Rs. 39,990. The top-end variant of the iQoo 3 comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage as well as 5G and you have to pay Rs. 44,990. iQoo offers the latest UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM on all variants.

As we all know, 5G networks aren’t available in India yet but if you want a device that is 5G in the future, then the top-end variant of iQoo 3 is the one to get.

The 6.44-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display comes with a 409ppi and support HDR10+. iQoo has used Schott Xensation UP glass for the protection.

CONNECTIVITY OPTIONS

Talking about the connectivity on the iQoo 3 includes 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and GLONASS along with a 4,440mAh battery and with a 55W Super FlashCharge charger in the box. This charger has a unique 90-degree pill-shaped connector which the company claims that it is very useful you are playing games and want to charge your phone.

iqoo 3

SOFTWARE OF iQoo 3

Talking about the software, the iQoo 3 comes with iQoo UI 1.0 on the latest Android 10. The UI looks somewhat similar to Vivo’s new FuntouchOS with a different theme. The UI of this device was simple and easy to use.

You won’t get any kind of app drawer on this phone and all the icons are available on the home screen. You can simply swipe down on a setting screen to bring options within reach. This is great for one-handed situations. You will get a lot of customization options on the iQoo 3. We can choose from various animations for the lock screen and for fingerprint and face recognition. You will get an Always-On display on this smartphone.

iqoo 3

You will get the option to switch from the old three-button navigation layout to swipe gestures. This phone has also added Vivo’s smart assistant Jovi on the device.

OTHER FEATURES

Usual Android features such as Digital Wellbeing and Parental controls are also present on this device. This phone has a specific Monster Mode which boosts the CPU performance and disables all power-saving measures. This mode also changes the theme of the device as a visual indicator. You will get an Ultra Game Mode to boost up your gaming experience.

iQoo has its own app store called V-Appstore. I would recommend you to uninstall these apps if you don’t use them.

PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY LIFE

This phone doesn’t have a refresh rate higher than 60Hz but the colour reproduction is very good. This phone has good viewing angles and is easily readable under direct sunlight. You can choose between three colours. The iQoo 3 has a tiny hole-punch under the display, but you won’t distract while viewing content. Loudspeakers are not so good. There is no stereo output in this device and the speaker sound is quite low.

This phone has an in-display fingerprint. You also get a face to unlock your smartphone. Both of them work very fast. We didn’t notice any kind of issue while using this phone. Multitasking was a breeze.

GAMING ON iQoo 3

We played PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9: Legends to test the gaming performance of the iQoo 3. Both games ran at high settings and we did not notice any kind of lag or stutter. You can also add gaming triggers while playing PUBG Mobile. It is very useful and they will help you to improve your gaming experience.

iqoo 3

BATTERY LIFE

It is good to know that iQoo 3 delivers good battery life. In the HD video loop test, this phone managed to go on for 19 hours and 13 minutes. With normal use, this phone will last about a day and a half without any issues. This phone took about 50 minutes to charge completely. A short five-minute charge was capable of getting the smartphone to 16 per cent which is very impressive.

iqoo 3

FINAL WORDS

iQoo 3 is the first smartphone launched by the new iQoo brand in India, and it comes with powerful hardware and software.iQoo 3 is among the very few smartphones that are powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC and support UFS 3.1 storage. You also get 5G connectivity only if you are ready to pay Rs. 44,990 for the top variant. Since India has not received 5G at the moment, you can opt for the lower variants without worrying much. However, if you want a 5G device you can go for Realme X50 Pro 5G.

The software on iQoo 3 is good. The cameras, sometimes, fell short on multiple occasions. Apart from its camera performance, this phone does not give any reason to reject it.

I hope my iQoo 3 Specs and review is helpful for you.

I will be glad to know if you have any questions regarding this phone or about anything in the comment box below.

Infinix Hot 8 Design

Talking about the look and design of the phone when you look from the front, the Infinix Hot 8 looks like one of the several generic-looking budget Android phones with waterdrop notches. The earpiece is located just above the notch and when you move to the little left, you can find the soft LED flash strip that only becomes visible when the screen is turned on. This also lights when the phone is being charged but sadly doesn’t function as a notification light like some other phones.

Infinix tried to give a different look to its new device. The backside of the phone with Quetzal Cyan had a peacock blue shade in the upper region, which gradually fades into black while going downwards. You also get a glittery finish that also covers the fingerprint sensor. Infinix offers the phone in two colours which are, Quetzal Cyan, Cosmic Purple, Shark Grey, and Midnight Black.

This phone also picks up smudges very easily. Thanks to Infinix for supplying a transparent protective case in the retail package.

Power and volume buttons are easy to reach and well-positioned and provide a clicky response. You also get a tray which is 3-in-1 (dual Nano-SIM + microSD) which is located on the left. The speaker, Micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack are placed on the bottom of the device.

The curved sides ensure a comfortable grip on your hand. It is loaded with a massive battery of 5000mAH. Despite packing a heavy battery of 5,000mAh, this phone is not heavy. You will sometime found adjusting the phone in your hands to reach for content on the upper half of the screen.

infinix hot 8 specs

SPECIFICATIONS AND SOFTWARE

The Infinix Hot 8 comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a 90.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. The highest brightness level is 450 nits and it also produces decent colours. Even though the display of this phone is reflective, the brightness was satisfactory even under daylight conditions. In short, Infinix Hot 8 is one of the better displays you can see on a phone at this price range.

Infinix Hot 8 is loaded with the octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC clocked at 2.0GHz, combined with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which you can expand up to 256GB using a microSD card. Infinix comes with the single variant which is 4GB + 64GB configuration which is priced at Rs. 8,999 but you can avail this phone at Rs. 6,999 during online sales. Hot 8 is loaded with a 5,000mAh battery along with a 10W charger which you get in the retail box.

CAMERAS

As well as cameras are concerned, the Infinix Hot 8 comes with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary lens with an f/1.8, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a dedicated low-light sensor. For the selfie lovers, Infinix has added an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

infinix hot 8 specs

SOFTWARE

The Infinix Hot 8 is based on a custom skin called XOS 5.0, based on Android Pie 9. Unfortunately, the UI remains the same as on the previous model of Infinix Hot 7, the Infinix Smart 3 Plus, and other phones from the Infinix company. There are lots of preinstalled bloatware, including in-house and third-party apps such as XTheme, XClub, AI Gallery, Opera News, ShareChat, Flipkart, Instagram, and Facebook.

The Infinix Hot 8 has a Kika keyboard, which was recently removed from the Google Play Store for ad fraud. Palm Store shows a lot of ads and sends a barrage of notifications, which you will found to be of little to no use. The swipe-based navigation gestures are not very easy to use and sometimes failed to work when doing multitasking.

SPECIAL FEATURE

Talking about the bright side of Infinix Hot 8, XOS 5.0 does offer some useful features such as WhatsApp Mode, which is very useful. What is does it restricts the cellular data access of all apps in the background except WhatsApp so as to limit your data usage.

You also get a Freezer app that restricts some apps which you allow, they won’t run in the background.

infinix hot 8 specs

PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY LIFE

As long as you stick to the basics MediaTek Helio P22 processor at the core of the Infinix Hot 8 specs is a decent performer. Normal tasks such as Web browsing, social media usage, and basic productivity were good, but as soon as there were more than 10 apps or games running in the background, the device started to stutter. Multitasking was quite lazy, but the update improved that.

This phone was not made for those peoples who are multitasker and they need to switch between multiple apps frequently. Heavier apps and games such as PUBG took some time to load.

infinix hot 8 specs

If you are a day to day and your usage is the normal user then the Infinix Hot 8 should serve you fine, but putting too much stress on the phone will definitely reduce your experience. One good thing is that we didn’t feel this phone getting too warm while playing games.

Battery life is one of the biggest USP of this phone. The Infinix Hot 8 comes with a 5,000mA battery that easily went past a day. With moderate usage that involved normal gaming, full-day Internet connectivity, social media usage, and productivity apps, and listening to music and watching videos for at least a couple of hours, the phone lasted us a day and a half. In the HD video battery loop test, the phone lasted for 17 hours and 21 minutes which is a good time compared to its competitors, especially at this price range.

infinix hot 8 specs

VERDICT

The latest Infinix Hot 8 by Infinix appears to offer capable hardware, especially for its special price of Rs. 6,999. However, loaded with 4GB of RAM, the phone struggled while multitasking and XOS have its downsides too. The Redmi 7 and Realme 3i play better with less RAM because they pack faster processors.

This phone’s general performance is good, but you are not allowed to play heavy games. If you are a phone photographer and camera is your main motive and you are ready to live with some performance limitations, Infinix Hot 8 could be a great choice for you.

If you are looking for an all-rounder smartphone that won’t stutter or lag frequently, also has decent cameras, and provides a polished software experience, the Redmi 8A is a good option. Other alternatives include the Realme 3i and Honor 8C which you can also consider.

I hope my Infinix Hot 8 Specs review is helpful for you.

I will be glad to know if you have any questions regarding this Infinix Hot 8 specs or about anything in the comment box below.

Huawei P40 PRO Review

What’s up guys I am Shubham and today we have got the brand new Huawei p40 pro in the house for the detailed review of this smartphone. This is one of the three devices that Huawei has announced today.

Today we got the wall weight p40 pro then we also got the Huawei p40 pro plus which is quite a bit of a mouthful now the pro plus is gonna coming out a little bit later and of course as soon as it’s here.

UNBOXING

Let’s talk about what you get in the box how does it look like.

Looking at the box at the front you will see p40 pro co-engineered with Leica it’s a big emphasis on cameras here on this device explore it on app gallery so another emphasis here as well on the wall app gallery which will be checking out in a little bit too.

BOX CONTENT

So when opened the box we got a brand new device initially lets put it aside for a while. Talking about the box content you will get a sim card tool a soft case to give protection to your devices USB type a to USB type C cable a USB Type C earphones and a 40 watt Huawei supercharger so that you can charge this phone quickly.

MAIN DEVICE

Let us talk about the main device. The colors look really nice this is a more of blue color and it’s a two-tone finish color. You will get many different color options. Going ahead, there is a rectangular camera module and here with the p series of devices from Huawei, this is usually on the left-hand side because of this, the device is supposed to behold in landscape mode as it is a device that concentrates around photography.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY

Now if we take a look around the front side the screen is curved from all sides. It is not only curved from the left and the right side but it is also curved from the top and bottom which seems to be quite interesting. You can call this an overflowing display so it’s kind of like things are spilling over the sides. Some peoples like curved display while some people don’t.

DISPLAY

Now when you turn on the display you can see clearly the minimum bezels as this is a 6.58-inch display and we also got a double punch hole camera on the top left-hand corner which houses the front-facing camera which is 32 megapixels. It’s got a depth sensor for depth information for your portraits. On the top, you can also see some other sensors. It comes with a face unlock. Talking about the resolutions it is between full HD and Quad HD so it’s around 2640×1200 and this display also has a 90 Hz refresh rate so things are very smooth. Now we don’t have a 120 Hz refresh rate which other competitors are offering but 90 Hz is good from 60 Hz refresh rate.

FIRST IMPRESSION OF DISPLAY

But talking about the first impression of display it looks really good. It is sharp and vibrant. Its’ viewing angles are also very good. Huawei P40 Pro comes with the in-display fingerprint scanner which is very fast. as I have mentioned earlier the punch hole also has a face unlock sensor.

Let’s take a look at the backside of the phone. You will get a premium build finish with IP68 water and dust resistance.

CAMERA

Now take a look at the camera. You will get a quad camera setup. So firstly talk about the primary camera this is a 50-megapixel camera with an f1.8 aperture and the interesting thing is that instead of using the traditional red green and blue it’s actually using red yellow and blue. So this sensor type is something that it was introduces last year with the P30 Pro and this allows you to get in a lot more light so it should perform really well in low light but this time we have taken further and the telephoto camera also had a red yellow and blue sensor instead of red green and blue.

The telephoto camera is of 12 megapixels and uses periscope zoom technology something that Huawei introduced last year it’s gonna give you up to five times optical zoom with way more hybrid and digital zoom. This has an f3. aperture with optical image stabilization and because you do have a narrow aperture you are not going to be getting in as much light so it will be really interesting to see how the red yellow and blue sensors on this zoom camera will have an effect in low light.

We also have an ultra-wide camera which is 40 Megapixels with an F1.8 aperture allowing you to get more in your shots. We also have a Huawei flight sensor which is going to help with depth information for your portraits shots.

P40 PRO

SOFTWARE OF P40 PRO

Now there’s a lot of software improvements with the cameras as well such as wall waist third-generation AI engine and we also have an Octave Phase Detection autofocus which is going to be using 100% of the pixels to focus on.
Now talking about the internals as we expected we always have the latest and greatest DQ in 995G chipset which is an integrated chipset. We also get a 5G option on this device. This device comes with an 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. You can also expand the storge.

LOOK AROUND THE DEVICE

Taking a look at the phone we got a power button on the right-hand side with a volume rocker above there’s nothing on the left-hand side. On top of the device, there is an IR Blaster. On the bottom there is a USB type C input, there is a sim card tray that also has the space for the nano card and finally got a single bottom-firing speaker.

P40 PRO

BATTERY LIFE

Now talking about the battery Huawei p40 Pro comes with a battery of 4200 mAh which is quite interesting because you not only get a 40 Watt charger but you also get an option of wireless charging which is really impressive. Generally when it comes to wireless charging the result is quite slow on most of the devices.

UI INTERFACE OF P40 PRO

Let’s talk about the software as there is a lot to talk about it. We get EMUI 10.1 which is based upon Android 10 but as you guys know that it doesn’t have the Google Play Store here and this is because of an ongoing trade war between China and the US.

P40 PRO

HUAWEI APP GALLERY

Now take a look at the Huawei app gallery. We can see lots of popular apps such as Snapchat Telegram Tiktok and some of the apps that are not directly available on the Huawei App Gallery such as Facebook, if you do search for Facebook then you will get a link to download directly in the form of APK. You also get an option of clone phone.

P40 PRO

SAD NEWS

Sadly the Google services are not available there such as google drive and even Youtube is not available.
However, lots of Apps that we used such as Facebook Snapchat all are put it over without any problem.

Now the question is it is ideal? Of course, it’s not ideal. But it is really impressive to see how long has Huawei comes in terms of bringing over the App experience as close as possible as you can have based on the circumstances.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY OF HUAWEI P40 PRO

Now in terms of pricing and availability, I have not been given price information as yet but we would expect this to become at a similar price as the previous P30 Pro was.

P40 PRO

What do you guys think about this new Huawei P40 Pro?

I will be glad to know if you have any questions regarding this phone or about anything in the comment box below.

JIO PHONE LOOK AND FEEL

It looks and feels like a standard feature phone. It has a small screen with a numeric keypad on the front side. The whole body is made up of plastic and it is of good quality. It fits well in the hands and it is not heavy also. The curved sides of the phone look good and also does not feel bulky to hold or carry.

The size of the screen is 2.4 inches and has a resolution of 240×320 pixels. Vertical viewing angles of this phone are bad, but you have to compromise with it keeping in mind the price of this device. There’s a VGA front-facing camera above the screen. The buttons are well placed by JIO on this phone and easy to reach.

The backside of the Jio Phone has only the 2-megapixel camera along with the loudspeaker. It comes with the 2000mAh battery. You can also open the backside of this phone. This phone supports a single Nano-SIM slot and a microSD card slot. You will get a Micro-USB port at the bottom of the phone along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. LED torch is also fitted on the top of the phone.

Talking about the box accessories, you will get the main headset and a charger with an attached Micro-USB cable. The phone comes with a pre-installed Jio SIM in the phone, and it needs to be activated before it will work.

PERFORMANCE CAMERA AND BATTERY LIFE

With the combination of basic hardware and KaiOS, speed is not going to be very fast and you will have to wait for apps to load. The hardware is still powerful enough to playback full-HD videos. As usual, you can only run one app at a time. The performance of Jio apps totally depends on Internet connectivity.

jio

CAMERAS

The phone comes with a 2-megapixel camera at the backside with no flash, and a VGA camera in the front for selfie. At this price, the support of two cameras is rare, but don’t expect high from them. The camera app is basic and the user interface is easy to use.

Photos taken with the 2-megapixel rear camera by this phone have a resolution of 1600×1200 pixels. You will find a lack of details in landscape shots. Motion blur is unavoidable on this phone. Nighttime camera performance is average and you will need a still and steady hand to get a good shot. Subjects are visible only in, adequate lighting, and you won’t see anything in low light. Photos look better on the phone screen rather than on a computer. Video quality isn’t horrible and is usable, but never expect any kind of fine detail.

Selfies have a much lower resolution of 640×480 pixels and have a noise like the rear camera. Photos are blurry and shaky unless you have a steady hand with decent lighting. The highest video resolution is 352×288.

BATTERY LIFE

It has a battery of 2000mAh, but at the same time, it has 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS which are known to drain battery life. With normal usage which included calls, a little Web surfing, and streaming songs, we found that the phone would still have around 80 percent of its power after 24 hours, which would mean that with judicial use, the phone could last for four full days before charging.

If you leave the phone untouched for 12 hours the battery resulted in just a 3 percent drop. If you want to save battery life there is a power-saving mode that switches everything off, turning this into a basic feature phone and thus saving your battery life.

jio

SPECIFICATIONS AND SOFTWARE

It is a feature phone but the specifications are very impressive of this phone. It is powered by a dual-core processor manufactured by Qualcomm or Spreadtrum and comes with a 512MB of RAM. You will get 4GB of internal storage but you get only 1GB out of 4GB storage. Storage is not a concern because you can add a microSD card up to 128GB.

jio

Talking about the connectivity options, this phone has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Bluetooth can be used to transfer files. You can connect your phone to Wi-Fi networks to access the Internet without using cellular data. You won’t get these connectivity options in any feature phones, this helps the Jio Phone to stand out of the competition. There is no hotspot feature.

The Jio Phone runs on KaiOS. The user interface is very simple which can be understood even by the common man. The Jio Phone comes with a preinstalled app store called JioStore.

This phone supports geolocation which uses GPS, and Wi-Fi data if available to pinpoint locations. Reliance has added NFC for payments but isn’t currently available.

Navigation is a little slow.

jio

You will get multiple pre-installed apps on this phone. You will get trademark apps of JIO such as JioCimena, JioChat, JioGames, JioMusic, JioTV, JioPay, and JioXpressNews, JioVideoCall, and the names are self-explanatory.

The screen is tiny and isn’t suitable for watching movies, especially because of its poor viewing angles.

The phone has a voice assistant called HelloJio. It can understand basic commands to dial a contact by their name or open a specific app, but it is quite slow. This is a good feature for people who are unfamiliar with technology, helping them do things without having to learn the phone’s user interface.

jio

VERDICT OF JIO PHONE

The Jio Phone isn’t targeted at smartphone users but this phone is made for those who want to upgrade without spending much. It is aimed at bringing people especially those who have never touched a computer and are not able to pay for Internet access even at current prices. The hardware is capable of doing things and the software delivers a good enough experience.

For people looking for a way to get online and communicate with others at an affordable price, the Jio Phone really has no competition. The combination of the phone hardware, the network, and the tariff plans is that feature that truly changes our society – and is already making the competition work harder. With all these great features, it can truly be a smart feature phone.

I hope my JIO Phone review is helpful for you.

I will be glad to know if you have any questions regarding this phone or about anything in the comment box below.

iPhone 11 2019 Design And Display

The latest iPhone 11 is made of aluminium and glass, which is the “toughest glass in a smartphone, front and back,” said by the Apple. Not everything is the same, as Apple has decided to mix it up the new iPhone 11 when it comes to the colours. Colour options include purple and green colour along with the yellow, black, white, and red colours also seen on the iPhone XR.

Though the colours that have been carried forward from the iPhone XR have the same names as before, the latest iPhone 11 finishes are little shades lighter and less shiny than their previous iPhone XR.

Like last year, the bezels on iPhone 8 and its previous models were opting for the silver and gold colour meant living with white bezels.

Let’s talk about the camera setup. At the top-left corner of the backside of the iPhone 11 is a squarish area that shelters two cameras, the True Tone flash, and a mic. This area has a textured matte finish and is slightly raised.

Interestingly, Apple has dropped the ‘iPhone’ branding from the back of the iPhones, with the Apple logo now featured at the centre of the backside.

The display is the sector in which the iPhone 11 is identical to the iPhone XR. You get a 6.1-inch LCD panel which is best in terms of colour accuracy, brightness, and viewing angles.

The LCD panel doesn’t have the richer blacks of the OLED panels on the iPhone XS and iPhone 11 Pro models, nor does it offer the dynamic range to let you view HDR content.

The maximum brightness of the iPhone 11 is measured at 625 nits, lower than that of the more expensive iPhone 11 Pro duo. The iPhone 11 looked brighter than the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

iPhone 11 2019 Specifications Performance and Battery Life

Apple’s new iPhone 11 is powered by brand new A13 Bionic chip which, Apple says, features two performance cores that are up to 20 per cent faster than their previous A12 Bionic powering the old generation iPhone models, and uses less power up to 30 per cent.

The four efficiency cores in the A13 Bionic use up to 40 per cent less power than their previous A12 while offering performance improvements of up to 20 per cent.

Apple has equipped the A13 Bionic with a neural engine which is 20 per cent faster while using 15 per cent less power.

the A13 Bionic has two machine learning accelerators on the CPU specially designed to speed up specific tasks. Apple’s new chip also includes a new machine learning controller for scheduling machine learning tasks which is a good improvement.

The iPhone 11 handled everything without any problems or lag. Playing heavy games like Asphalt 9: Legends was a breeze.

The iPhone 11 scored 5,469 in Geekbench 4’s single and 13,550 in multi-core tests.

SPECIFICATIONS

The new iPhone 11 comes in three variants which are 64GB,128GB and 256GB storage. the latest iPhone 11 comes with 4GB of RAM. The iPhone 11 is now rated IP68 for water and dust resistance. it is good to know that Apple’s warranty won’t cover water damage.

iPhone 11 series supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.
There’s dual-SIM support in the iPhone 11 2019 especially thanks to the eSIM, which only supports Airtel and Reliance Jio.

The new iPhone 11 series support Dolby Atmos, which elevates the media consumption experience.
while listening to music, podcasts, or watching videos on YouTube, the stereo speakers get sufficiently loud.

The iPhone 11 comes with Face ID for unlocking the phone in a fast and secure manner. Like previous models, Face ID works flawlessly in all kinds of lighting conditions.

The iPhone 11 comes with a brand new Apple U1 chip.

Apart from Face ID improvements, iOS 13 also brings a lot of changes like system-wide Dark Mode; revamped Photos and Reminders apps; enhancements of the Messages app.

iphone 11 2019

BATTERY LIFE

As usual, Apple doesn’t officially reveal the battery sizes of iOS devices, the battery on the iPhone 11 is said to be marginally bigger than its previous iPhone XR. However, the power efficiency of the A13 Bionic is really good, as the iPhone 11 managed to last 15 hours and 20 minutes in the HD battery loop test, which is exactly two hours more than the iPhone XR.

In terms of day-to-day usage, iPhone 11 easily lasts through a day of medium to heavy use and still has a decent amount of battery left in the box at the end of the day. If you are a light user, you could use this phone through two full days before.

Sad to say but the iPhone 11 still comes with a 5W charger in the box which makes the phone extremely slow to charge.

You can fully charge this phone over three-and-a-half hours.

The iPhone 11 support faster charging, so you can pair it with another charger for a better experience.

iphone 11 2019

VERDICT

So, there’s a lot of features to like about the iPhone 11. Apart from the low-resolution display — which most of the people won’t notice — and the slow bundled charger — which everyone will notice. Night Mode is an extremely useful up-gradation, and the Camera app has useful touches.

We still complain about Apple’s software and services offering sub-par experiences, especially in India. Apple Pay is still just a dream for Apple users.

It is good to see iOS adopt more features that reflect the reality of big-screen phones.

iphone 11 2019

In recent years Apple has beaten us all down with high prices to the extent the price tag of Rs. 64,900 seems rather possible, despite the fact you’ll find many Android phones at this cost.

At that price, it’s a good choice to upgrade the Phone 11 over the iPhone XR, which is available at a new price of Rs. 49,990. If you are ready to spend extra Rs. 10,000 you will get better cameras and a faster processor, but the point is that iPhone XR is still faster than even the most expensive Android smartphone you can buy.

If you have much money to spend, you cannot go wrong with any of the Samsung Galaxy S10 or Galaxy Note 10 models. A new Google Pixel phone is also just around the corner as well, so you might wait and see what offers you get.

Design

The LG G8X ThinQ comes with the same design as its predecessors. LG G8X has a glass design with a metal frame between the display and the rear glass panel. LG has made this smartphone a little tall. It has a 6.4-inch large screen with an OLED FullVision display along with a tiny waterdrop notch at the top. It has thin bezels.

LG gives you the power button on the right side of the device. On the left side, you’ll find the volume buttons as well as a button for Google Assistant. If you are a regular user of Google Assistant you will find this button very useful.

lg g8x

Thanks to LG for giving a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom along with the primary microphone, the loudspeaker, and a USB Type-C port. At the top of the device, you will only get a SIM tray. The backside of this phone is made out of glass but is curved at the sides, which makes it comfortable to hold. However, the smartphone is super slippery.

LG gives you a single colour option which is Aurora Black. In the box, you will get the Dual Screen accessory case, earphones, and a 16W charger. LG has also included a magnetic connector that can be used to charge the smartphone while using the Dual Screen case.

Performance And Battery Life

We didn’t notice any kind of lag while using the smartphone. The device feels smooth when multitasking and loading apps thanks to the 6GB of RAM. Even with the use of secondary display and running different apps, the phone manages to handle the load very well. It is not recommended to run two heavy apps simultaneously, as this causes the phone to heat up. The in-display fingerprint scanner is slow and inconsistent too.

lg g8x

For multitasking, the second screen is made for you. LG allows you to swap apps between the two displays by using a three-finger gesture.
Like many other smartphones, the LG G8X comes with a game mode, but this one also takes full advantage of the second display. You can fully use both of the screens by using one of the screens as a gamepad while a game is displayed on the other.

You won’t notice any kind of lag or stutter when playing the games.

The LG G8X ThinQ comes with a 4,000mAh battery which lasts for about a day and a half with normal usage. With the dual-screen of this phone, you will notice the battery life taking a hit. In the HD video loop test, LG G8X went on for 19 hours and 53 minutes, which is good. When using the supplied charger, the battery level went from zero to 34 percent in half an hour and to 67 percent in an hour. LG has to give us a more powerful charger in the box, as their competitor is offering faster charging.

lg g8x

CAMERA

The LG G8X ThinQ comes with a dual-camera setup. The primary camera consists of a 12-megapixel with an f/1.8 aperture. The secondary camera consists of a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 136-degree field of view and an f/2.4 aperture. The camera app has multiple modes to choose from, and you also get a manual mode for both photos as well as video. This simply mirrors the output of the primary screen, allowing you to fold the device and take shots at awkward angles comfortably.

For selfie lovers, LG G8X comes with the 32-megapixel selfie camera that delivers good details. The edge detection in both the screen is good. You can record videos at 4K 60fps with the primary camera and 4K 30fps with the selfie camera. The phone has a Super Steady mode which uses the wide-angle camera and crops the frame for steady footage. In low light conditions, the camera managed to deliver bright output.

VERDICT OF LG G8X ThinQ

LG’s has its unique way of joining the foldable smartphone lineup by introducing its latest LG G8X ThinQ. While this phone is not the alternative of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, LG has managed to deliver something close in a cost-effective manner. Since LG gives the dual-screen display with the G8X ThinQ, users get to experience a dual-screen device at no additional cost. The magnetic connector to charge the phone is also a wise addition.

For the price range of Rs. 49,999, LG offers a good package for someone who wants to experience a folding technology without breaking the pocket. However, these specifications are the only things that help this smartphone to stand out against its competitors at this price range. If you don’t care about the second screen, you could consider the OnePlus 7T which costs much less, or the Samsung Galaxy S10 as an alternative.

lg g8x

I hope my LG G8X review is helpful for you.

I will be glad to know if you have any questions regarding this phone or about anything in the comment box below.

DESIGN

Vivo launched it’s latest Vivo S1 Pro. The Vivo S1 costs ₹ 15,449 and it is a very good-looking phone. The diamond pattern on the back has gone and you will get three different gradient finishes. These are ‘Jazzy Blue’ ‘Dreamy White’ and ‘Mystic Black’. The Vivo S1 Pro feels a little chunky at 8.68mm thick, and after prolonged one-handed use, the 186g weight is quite noticeable. The rounded edges and tapering back make it easier to hold, and we thought it would be too slippery because of the glossy finish but it doesn’t. The back isn’t pure glass though, as Vivo uses laminated plastic.

On the front side, we have a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution. There’s an in-display fingerprint sensor too, which works very fast. Face unlock is also present in S1 Pro which is reliable but just not as quick as compared to other phones at this price segment. Vivo gives you screen protector pre-applied which is quite annoying after sometimes.

vivo s1 pro specs

Vivo has done good button placement on the Vivo S1 Pro. On the left side, there’s a tray for either two Nano-SIMs or a single Nano-SIM and a microSD card. At the bottom of the phone, S1 Pro has a USB Type-C port and speaker, and there’s a headphone jack on the top.

The backside of the phone is where the Vivo S1 Pro stands out of the competition in terms of design. Apart from the jazzy color, I liked the slim profile of the camera module. The LED flash is placed outside the camera module. Vivo’s logo and the tagline are below the camera.

In the box, you will get usual accessories such as a silicone case, a Type-C cable, an 18W charger, and the main headset.

vivo s1 pro specs

SPECIFICATIONS AND SOFTWARE

The Vivo S1 Pro is loaded with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core SoC. This kind of processor is typically found in phones under the price range of Rs. 10,000 mark, such as the Realme 5i and Redmi Note 8. We are not saying that this is a bad processor, but driving a full-HD+ display in heavy games could be challenging. Thanks to Vivo for adding 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in S1 Pro, and this is the only configuration on sale.

vivo s1 pro specs

Talking about other specifications on S1 Pro include dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5, FM radio, GPS, USB-OTG, and support for Google’s Widevine L1 DRM certification. There are the normal sensors too, including a gyroscope and compass.

Considering for software, we have Vivo’s Funtouch OS 9.2, which is based on Android 9 Pie. Vivo S1 Pro had the December 2019 security patch, which is fair. The user interface is quite complicated. While using the S1 Pro in landscape mode, the gesture still has to be made from the same side of the screen, which is quite annoying for some peoples.

There’s a lot of bloatware pre-installed on the Vivo S1 Pro, but you can remove all the third-party apps.

PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY LIFE

The Vivo S1 Pro works well in performing day to day tasks. Its camera design stands out this phone under this price segment. The display gets very bright, making it easily legible even under direct sunlight. The colors are also very vivid because of the AMOLED panel, and text and icons are adequately sharp. The Snapdragon 665 handles multitasking well but when it comes to heavy gaming this one lacks somewhere.

vivo s1 pro specs

PUBG Mobile struggled to run at a smooth framerate even at the Low graphics preset. The game was playable but a little jerky at times. We didn’t notice any overheating, thankfully, even after 30 minutes of gameplay. The single speaker doesn’t get too loud and the sound is a little tinny. Videos are enjoyable due to the vivid display.

The Vivo S1 Pro comes with a 4,500mAh battery, which easily lasted us for a day and a half, with normal usage. In the HD video battery loop test, the phone ran for 17 hours and 7 minutes, which is a good time. Vivo uses its Dual Engine Fast Charge feature, but the original charger in the box isn’t very fast to charge it quickly. S1 Pro takes 30 minutes to charge 31% and about 61 percent in an hour. For completely charging this phone it takes 2 hours and a half.

vivo s1 pro specs

VIVO S1 PRO SPECS AND CAMERA

Vivo S1 Pro comes with four rear cameras setup. The primary camera consists of 48-megapixel with an f/1.8 aperture; the secondary camera is of 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture; the third one is of a 2-megapixel macro camera, and the fourth camera is of the 2-megapixel depth camera. For the selfie lovers, S1 Pro comes with a 32-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The user interface of the camera app is very easy, with most of the shooting modes are above the shutter button. Some commonly used and important controls, such as the ultra-wide camera, bokeh, and macro modes, are placed in a separate carousel menu, which needs additional taps to get into.

You can record videos only at 1080p, which is not a good thing, especially at this price range. Unfortunately, there’s no stabilization. The selfie camera can shoot up to 1080p too, but again, without any stabilization. Low-light videography was not very good and had lots of grain as well as weak details. The wide-angle camera shot even poorer footage in low-light, making it unusable.

FINAL WORDS FOR VIVO S1 PRO

The Vivo S1 Pro is a stylish and good looking-phone with a crisp display and solid battery life. The design of this phone is eye-catching, and the new gradient finishes, as well as the diamond-shaped camera module, helps this phone stand out among its competitors.

If you’re hoping to play heavy games like PUBG and want to take great photos, then Vivo S1 Pro is not made for you. You can look for other smartphones at this price level, such as the Realme X2 and the Redmi K20, have much more powerful SoCs and will hold up much better over the next few years.

The selfie camera is quite good for this phone, and it will work well as long as you’re shooting under good light. The rear cameras of this phone are a bit underwhelming. MicroSD card slot is missing in this phone.

Finally, the Vivo S1 Pro is not a bad choice if you want a stylish design, good battery life, and a punchy display. If you want an all-rounder phone, we suggest looking at offerings from Realme and Xiaomi.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY

Apple launched its new devices iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max. The iPhone XS dimensions are exactly the same as the previous iPhone X, though it’s 3g heavier. People loved the iPhone XS Max Price and design, so it’s a good choice by Apple to stick with its previous design. However, the camera bump on the iPhone XS is a little bit bigger than the one on the iPhone X.

The iPhone XS Max is the heaviest phone made by Apple (208g), and it certainly makes its presence felt.

DISPLAY

Apple has managed to make a 6.5-inch display on the iPhone XS Max, giving you an extra inch compared to previous Plus-sized phones.

Sometimes it’s even more difficult to reach the upper corners of the screen — especially the upper right corner, which you need to do bring down Control Centre, a normal operation. You’ll need to perform a little juggle to move the phone in your hand, or as will likely be the case for many people, involve the other hand.

Of course, the iPhone XS Max is not alone in this segment, this is a common problem with large phones in the Android world as well.

Apple gives you a multi-column layout in landscape mode in apps like Messages and Mail, especially when you consider that just like the iPhone X, the iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max does not support landscape mode on the home screen.

PROTECTION

Apple has used the most durable glass ever in a smartphone on the front and back, but Apple hasn’t specified what type of glass is being used. The overall finish is great which you’d expect from an iPhone.

The phone has the asymmetrical speaker grilles at the bottom. The left side has fewer holes than the right.

COLOUR OPTIONS

The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are available in a new Gold finish, in addition to the Silver and Space Grey options that we saw on the iPhone X. All three finishes look good in our opinion, and the Gold should be your pick if you want something that will stand out.

DISPLAY

The iPhone XS has the same panel that was used in iPhone X with HDR10 and Dolby Vision support. Apple’s True Tone technology, which is designed to adjust the white balance onscreen to match ambient light conditions, is also present.

The display includes the 458ppi density, which means the bigger model has a higher resolution panel to compensate for the increased size of the display.

Watching videos is an immersive experience, especially on the bigger iPhone XS Max. Yes, the notch is still very much there, and unlike some Android smartphone makers, Apple doesn’t give you a way to disable it at the expense of losing some real estate. But, thankfully, third-party iOS apps seem to be in much better shape than their Android counterparts, and we haven’t really come across apps where the notch proved to be an issue.

PERFORMANCE, BATTERY LIFE AND CAMERA

Apple has used A12 chip inside all three 2018 iPhone models further extends Apple’s lead in this department, with benchmark scores well above what Android flagships have given this year.

PERFORMANCE

As you know there are no performance issues while performing day-to-day tasks on the new iPhone models. Gaming is a breeze. You can play games such as PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9 at their highest settings without any lag or issues.

For the first time in Apple’s history, you can get an iPhone with 512GB storage, and be prepared to pay high for that privilege. Though Apple doesn’t officially disclose the amount of RAM in iOS devices, benchmarks tests reveal that both the iPhones XS and XS Max pack 4GB of RAM.

Both the iPhones iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are now IP68-rated for dust and water resistance, which is an improvement over the iPhone X and even iPhone XR.

BATTERY LIFE

Both the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will last you throughout a full day without any troubles, though the XS Max is much more likely to survive heavier workloads without charging your phone On the regular days, the iPhone XS Max should easily last anywhere between 20 and 30 per cent in the bucket at the end of the day.

In the HD video loop test, the iPhone XS Max lasted 11 hours and 15 minutes, while the iPhone XS ran out of the box 25 minutes earlier.

New iPhone models supports fast charging — Apple claims the battery can be charged “up to 50 per cent in 30 minutes” — all you’ll need to buy an 18W charger separately, which is not good at all even when you’ve spent nearly a lakh on a phone — or more, especially in the case of the iPhone XS Max. It’s sad to see Apple still ship a 5W charger with a smartphone in 2018.

All the new models of the iPhone support wireless charging.

OTHER OPTIONS

For making your experience better the new iPhone models support wider stereo playback. The speakers of both the iPhone models get sufficiently loud.

Talking about the Face ID recognition Apple claims that newer iPhone models give slightly faster Face ID implementation. Its speed, accuracy, or security is very good.

Apple ships new iPhone models with iOS 12.

CAMERA

The biggest jump made by Apple in the new iPhones is in terms of camera performance. The wide-angle sensor is 32 per cent bigger than the previous iPhone X but the biggest improvements made by Apple are via software, specifically a feature called Smart HDR.

Smart HDR worked best for landscape shots.

Low-light performance, which had been a bit of a problem for Apple, is greatly improved with the new model of iPhone.

Portrait mode is excellent with both, the front and rear cameras.

When it comes to shooting videos, you can shoot 4K at up to 60fps. When cameras are concerned iPhone has consistently been at the top of the charts.

All the new iPhone models support stereo recording.

FINAL WORDS ABOUT iPhone XS MAX PRICE

The iPhone X costs a premium because it gave us a glimpse of the future, allowing Apple to charge premium prices. But after a year, with a premium price of Rs. 99,900, which cost even more than the iPhone X did. The iPhone XS Max costs Rs. 1,44,900 for the top-end variant — takes pricing to the ridiculous territory.

It’s true that all the variants of the iPhone hold its value better than any other phone, and Apple’s record in terms of pushing regular software updates even to older devices is unparalleled, which means your iPhone will get updated with new features over time. Theoretically, if you spend a little extra today, you can use the iPhone for a longer period, and still, have a pretty good experience.

So while you can pay a premium price and continue to use your iPhone for several years, your device will be really behind the curve.

Apple seems confident about it’s new iPhone XS models — the performance is best, cameras are as good as the competition, and despite iOS’ limitations, you are guaranteed software updates.

So, if you’ve ever used a Plus-sized iPhone before, or if you are already using a large screen Android smartphone, you go and come at home with the iPhone XS Max.

On the other hand, if you don’t have access to unlimited funds, you should seriously give the iPhone XR a look. Despite lacking a few features of its more expensive brethren, it isn’t a compromised device by any means.
